Scrapped Princess

This fan club is dedicated to the anime Scrapped Princess. Hail to Pacifica Casull, her entourage Shannon Casull and Raquel Casull, and all the other characters in this fantastic anime.

The story takes place in a fantasy world and revolves around a 15-year-old girl named Pacifica Casull, who is the sister in a set of twins born to the royal family of a kingdom called Leinwan and then, literally, thrown away. The 5111th Grendel Prophecy predicts that she will be the "poison that will destroy the world" if she reaches her sixteenth birthday. To prevent this she is dropped off a cliff as an infant ("scrapped"). Believed to be dead, her survival remains no more than a rumour until she is already 15 years old.

Chapter 4: The Prince and the Raven

The next morning set upon the lake. Each ripple shimmered a faint turquoise in the pale morning sunlight. The dewdrops created small rainbows of color on the petals of each wildflower, the scent of spearmint hung in the air around it, along with the quite refreshing scent of river water.

Pacifica and Raquel both appeared out of wagon both looking as refreshed as the scenery of the lake around them. They were quite surprised to see Shannon lying face up , his cape underneath his head like a pillow.

"That lazy big brother!" Pacifica smirked.

Chapter 3: Unrequited Curse

Shannon was completely entranced by the young girl's presence. He was at a loss for words.

He bowed at the waist, in a gentlemanly sort of way, "I am Shannon Casull." he greeted her kindly, trying not to frighten her away. His kind smile seemed to warm the fear clouding her heart.

Her brief smile disappeared as she gazed upon the moon, a slight sadness brimming in her eyes.

"I must ask you," Shannon sighed. He felt like he was bound to wake up at any moment. "Why were you in the guise of a swan earlier?"

Princess Tutu hesitated before speaking, but still remained silent.

Chapter 2: White Swan

Night had finally passed, but Shannon couldn't stop thinking about the beautiful swan that waved back at him earlier that day. He couldn't help pondering about it, even as he prepared dinner for the other two girls.

"Shannon, the meat is starting to burn," Pacifica poked his arm, trying to get his attention.

Shannon gasped in shock, the smell of smoke filled his nostrils. "Damn it!" he cursed, as the turned the meat over, with a branch.

"You seem a bit out of tune lately."

Shannon was silent, how could he explain his theory to her. She was already so simple minded already.

"I guess I have," he sighed.

Chapter 1: The Enchanted Lake

Spring was in the air as a trio of young travelers passed through a dense forest. The sunlight filtering through every dewdrop, creating a small rainbow on the forest floor. The whole setting seemed like a dreamscape. A flock of bluebirds seemed to sing melodically overhead, like a chorus of school children.

"Shannon!" whined a rather youthful looking blonde girl as she sat near a taller dark haired young man, who looked almost seventeen, and another dark haired girl who almost looked like the taller boy.

"Pacifica, patience is a virtue," smiled the dark haired girl riding in the seat next to her.

So, This club has seems to have slowed down significantly this last year. I know part of that has to do with us founders haven't been energizing the club with fun ideas to boost morale and such. So I checked with bossman

and I thought to ask what you guys would like to do to get everything hip and happening again.

Please leave some suggestions on what kind of fun stuff we, as a group, can do to get us jiving again. This can be contests, events, etc.

I'd like to hear from you guys. Let's make this club fun again!

This is around the second series I ever saw when I got into anime years ago (the first being Planetes). I watched it again just recently, thinking "there's no way it can be as good as I remember, it's just nostalgia". I was wrong. It was BETTER.

Yes, this is one of the rare and truly great animes out there, it's sad that it's dwarfed in popularity by other series and is still relatively unknown.

Have you read the light novels? Tokyopop only released 3 of them, but they're excellent reads.
